Growing checking account customers, shrinking cost per acquisition
City National Bank wanted to entice non-customers living within 5-10 miles of a branch to open a checking account with them. We focused on driving people directly to the branches to allow City’s team to meet customers personally, develop a relationship and identify additional opportunities to help customers manage their finances.
Our campaign utilized multiple acquisition channels and led with offers of $50 or $100 for opening an account. The design and branding are unexpected for the retail banking industry to command attention while positioning City as an approachable community partner. We were able to help them achieve new account enrollments at a cost per acquisition below industry standards.
